Philippines – Bureau Of Internal Revenue Seeks Bids For Its Electronic Tax Information System
UKTI has recently announced that a Philippines governmental department has invited firms to participate in the bidding for the repair and improvement of their electronic tax information system (eTIS).
$54.3M has been earmarked for the Revenue Administration Reform Project (RARP). This is meant to help the government increase its tax revenues through policy reforms and capacity building through the provision of consultants, training, and procurement of software to implement the improved integrated tax system.
The aim of the eTIS (Electronic Tax Information System) enhancement is meant to re-engineer the current tax system to allow for a more efficient tax administration and expand into facilitating the processing of tax refunds or tax credit certificates.
