My name is Simon Byrne, I work for a Northern Irish based Company called the ‘Foyle Food Group’, we are a
Primary beef processor. http://www.foylefoodgroup.com
As I’m sure you are aware the Philippines has recently re-opened for beef from the EU after a lengthy ban,
Which as it is such a large market ios good new for the Beef Industry.
Despite the ban being lifted, countries still have to undergo a country by country procedure for accreditation
of Foreign Meat Establishments. This procedure is somewhat lengthy and non-transparent, so the European
Commission will continue to raise the issue with the Philippines to ensure trade friendly approval procedures
in line with the Philippines’ international obligations.
Therefore we are keen to pursue this market and make contact with beef suitable beef processors and beef importers,
And we are also keen to know what further steps need to be taken to certify our plants.
We were hoping that you could give us some assistance in this search.
Any help that you can give is will be greatly appreciated and if we can develop business it will benefit the UK economy.
The Philippine British Business Council (PBBC) exists both to create and to add value to the trade, investment and business links between Britain and the Philippines.
It will not duplicate the work of existing trade and investment promotion and institutions, but will add a new level of creativity and initiative based on the business acumen, experience and contacts of its members. The Philippine British Business Council (PBBC) will have a mix of large global firms and small and medium enterprises from both countries. The Philippine British Business Council (PBBC) will be business-led with its members drawn from senior decision-making levels of companies taking part.
